Modulus History

Modulus International was originally formed as a partnership in 1991. The main focus of the company then was to offer clients an alternative to the many companies providing standard public courses. We understood then that companies wanted to know about the latest technologies, but maybe initially at management level and maybe for only half a day. We also understood that companies may use a mix of languages and tools and needed something specific to aid their projects. So we aimed to provide a three day modular course rather then three public five day courses.

Modulus has moved a long way since then and training has certain become more challenging but we still enjoy working hard to keep ahead of the game and providing new ways to educate our clients.

In today's fast paced multi platform, multi language world there is a massive opportunity and scope for businesses to thrive utilising the amazing array of tools available. Whether they are developing internal systems or delivering solutions for their customers. but with this plethora of options there can be confusion in which way to go, which methodology to adopt and what practices to put in place.

Modulus works alongside companies as a technical resource providing training, consultancy and off or on-site mentoring. We don't think at course level or even departmental level. We aim to look at the overall company or global operation and the products they produce and subset projects within. By utilising this top down approach Modulus can not only understand a companies ethos but we can also see how key areas can be improved. Which in turn will improve overall communication and productivity.

Modulus International truly believe in Clear Objective Driven Training.

Modulus Approach

We promise it will feel different and in most cases different is good. Most companies assume that training is simple as in essence it only has a few deliverables. Modulus does not take this view and aim to flip the whole training experience on it's head. We focus strongly each of these deliverable from pre course evaluation to course administration and final delivery. We include many features that companies consider optional extras and go that extra mile to make sure your courses are relevant on content rich before delivery.

Modulus Global Delivery

The world is an ever changing place. Businesses are spreading their wings more and products are being developed for new markets. Modulus provide a true global presence from our four centres around the world. We treat a global project in the same manor as a uk project but with the benefit of having our own local in-house or well trusted third party facilities. Modulus has the local knowledge that makes a big difference and where possible can provide course notes and delivery in the course delivery in the local language.

Our skilled training consultants are technical and are global jet setter acting as an extension of your internal management structure. They are happy to work in partnership with our customers attending planning and roll out meetings with your localised department heads. Be it in Tokyo Monday, New York Wednesday and Barcelona Friday. We go more than the extra mile to ensure a well structured and implemented program.

Why Modulus?

With so many training vendors popping up providing price promises are options to retake courses if not 100% satisfied along with 100's of public courses why should you choose modulus.

The answer is very simple we have a certain place within the market and are very good at what we do. If you want to focus on a specific problem but just can't find the right course then you need to be speaking to us. If you have just completed an ok but sloppy program in one of your overseas destinations then again Modulus is the right choice. If you are looking to for public places for your Cisco engineers then we would kindly decline.

Modulus has known it's strength since 1991, and we still offer it undiluted and ready for your next bespoke requirement.

Modulus - The Detail

If three out of ten of the PC's being setup for the delegates attending the J2EE course in Tokyo on a Friday night before the Monday morning course are meant to be in Kanji then you would consider this important detail.

If a senior departmental manager from your office in Korea is attending a case tools awareness workshop in your london office then as he steps up to the buffet and realises his dietary needs have not been noted he probably will not be so Conducive in the after course meeting discussing budgets, again detail.

Training is an expensive investment for most companies. They have to see ROI and have to make sure their money is well spent. If the buffet isn't right or the setup is incorrect then the whole experience will simply be an exercise.

At modulus we have spent a long time monitoring our delegate feedback to the slight changes to room layout and catering services along with many other factors and we have learnt that the whole process from the initial joining instruction confirmation to post course discussion has to run like clockwork or a delegate will loose focus and in turn will not be in the right state of mind for the course lecturer to impart the topics in the course effectively.

At Modulus detail is our prime focus.
